The Practice Must Evolve.

“The most exciting thing about yoga is the toolbox it gives you for self-observation—to delve into what it is to be human. I think that’s a pretty challenging and profound thing.”

~ Nathan Mills

This tiny flick was created in Portland, Oregon and features long time yogi and marital artist Nathan Mills. Nathan Mills illuminates the power of yoga to transform, evolve and heal. Nathan was born with one leg three inches shorter than the other. Yoga means knowing who you are deep down inside.

This tiny flick features the lovely Yogi Nicole Hamic. In this yogi profile Nicole explains how she found healing, compassion and community on her personal yogic journey. Her funfilled Hatha Flow focuses on safety, structure and alignment. The self described ‘anatomy nerd’ encourages her students to honor, open and strengthen the body to inspire personal growth and transformation. Nicole teaches at the beautiful, welcoming and warm Yoyoyogi Studio in NW Portland, OR.

“My yoga community is a really beautiful thing, but it’s not an exclusive thing. Being able to come into a room and practice with this group of people that’s all there to support you is a such an amazing and  beautiful thing. That’s why we practice in a room together—to build those relationships and to understand that that person’s struggles are your struggles, that person’s successes are also your successes, and to me, that’s what being part of a yoga community is about.

This Tiny Flick Production features the lovely and pregnant Brooke Fitchen. Brooke teaches vinyasa flow and prenatal yoga at the incomparable Yoyoyogi studio in sustainable Portland, OR. Yoyoyogi was voted Portland’s best yoga studio (2012) by Portland Monthly Magazine. Brooke’s inspired flow motivates students to wake up and experience life through movement based awareness. Her classes encourage the transformative practice of intention setting in life and yoga.

“Yoga found me through the rhythm of breath. The ability to breath and move in my body and in my spirit changed my life. It gave me such deep gratitude… The teachings that have resonated with me the most are the simplest ones. Just breathe, be patient, choose to be happy. If you can breath and your heart is beating take joy… Yoga is a way to bring people together.”
